arrival to bucarest

There is nothing like arriving to a unknown city and finding a friendly face. Edit came with her brother Peter to fetch me.So much easier than to find a cab, a bus , a train or whatever.
Within 40 minutes we were in the middle of the center of Bucarest at the Hilton Athenea.
Impressive hallway!Upgraded room!
..... i did a 1 1/2  hour walk around the city...first impression:great city,with great buildings (old ,decrepit and new),a lot of traffic,plenty of youth in the streets,lights,monuments...enough to satisfy a tired tourist

Airport

Marla gave enough miles to wait in the first class lounge.pretty quiet here so I can spend time learning this new tool.not an easy one.Soon I will be flyIng (on an airplane).

Where I am staying

For those who think Bucarest is ugly ( Alain) I plan to show you that you are wrong.
My theme for this trip ill be: Music because Edit Fazakas is giving a concert and tourism.
I read 2 great books bout Dracula...so there is some connection there...

I am getting ready for my short trip to Bucarest.
I leave tomorrow night with lufthansa from boston at 10 15 PM via Frankfurt and arrive into Bucarest at
5 30 PM
My nice niece Polly is helping me to set up this blog (she is visiting from Savannah).
